SoV is a "capacity building program for local talents" to discover and approach light as a sensitive tool to describe, expand and embed visual storytelling into experiential space; an event that aims to promote and develop online solutions for distance learning, a challenging opportunity oriented towards the near future.
The course is aimed at both beginners and professionals, showing new possibilities towards the application of projection technologies on areas like architecture, design, installation, visual arts, theatre and multimedia environment.
The course is structured between online, blended and onsite modules around theoretical studies and workshop’s practice; a new training format that give ample space to new forms of learning, thus aimed to create virtual shared workspaces.
The program is open to 15 participants,
Each student will share their unique approach with the group and the final outcome will consider individuals’ goals as well as promoting sharing ideas and methods.
All Throughout the workshop we will:
• explore various set-up and techniques
• practise on several software/hardware solution available
• develop relations between light, objects, spaces
Participants will present their final work on the facade of the District Council of Aveiro during the PRISMA / Art Light Tech festival, between 15 and 16 October 2021, helping to show the city under a new light and provide a rediscovery of its territory. Selected works will have the chance to win free software licenses, kindly offered by our sponsors.

New media artist, founder and creative director @mammasONica, since 2007 he focuses on developing a personal tra-digital aesthetic that returns animation to cinematic projections in public spaces and theatrical scenes, ranging from A/V performances to luminous design, interactive installation and new media theatre.
