Unglued: Reimagining Humanity’s Rhythm with Nature
Inspired by the Frequencies of Gil Scott-Heron
At its core, Unglued channels the spirit of poet and artist Gil Scott-Heron, bridging analog warmth with digital pulse. The piece draws on his ethos of truth-telling and uses hidden sonic frequencies to remind us of the insights embedded in sound—a call to tune into the layers of our existence. With Unglued, we invite audiences to pause, listen, and reflect on the frequencies that surround us but often go unnoticed.
In Unglued, ambient signals—from Wi-Fi waves to radio transmissions—are transformed into a visual symphony that pulses with life. Each flicker and glow mimics the rhythm of natural elements, while cosmic sounds and pixelated shapes create a meditative space where viewers can feel their own connection to a larger world. Think of it as a luminous conversation between digital and analog, where pixels blend into waveforms to reflect the human journey of evolving through connection.
The Art of Being Unglued
This projection experience reflects our modern reality: a world both connected and disjointed. As you watch, you’ll see the visuals unfold from scattered fragments into cohesive, flowing patterns. Unglued is a story of reconnection, capturing the idea that even as we drift and fragment, we find ways to come together—like waves forming a single ocean.
