Tournament The Final

The fusion of art and technology yields remarkable outcomes, and the second edition of the SOV School of Videomapping stands as a testament to this notion. Against the backdrop of the Blik Blik Festival, held in the vibrant city of Pilsen, eleven students embarked on a creative journey to honor the legacy of Ladislav Sutnar. Their canvas: the imposing facade of the Study and Research Library U Branky.

Ladislav Sutnar, a pioneer in the field of graphic design, left an indelible mark with his innovative approach and timeless aesthetics. His legacy, characterized by clarity, functionality, and visual elegance, served as the guiding light for aspiring artists participating in the SOV School of Videomapping. Drawing inspiration from Sutnar’s principles, the students embarked on a quest to reinterpret his legacy through the lens of videomapping, a medium that seamlessly merges tradition with technology.

Guided by Prof. Luca Pulvirenti and fueled by their passion for artistic expression, the students immersed themselves in the creative process. Collaborative brainstorming sessions, experimentation with digital tools, and relentless fine-tuning culminated in the birth of awe-inspiring installations that transcended the boundaries of conventional art.

The eleven projections, each a unique interpretation of Sutnar’s legacy, unfolded with breathtaking brilliance. From dynamic geometric patterns to abstract narratives, the visuals captivated spectators and ignited a sense of wonder.

The 2nd edition of the SOV School of Videomapping left an indelible imprint on the cultural landscape of Pilsen. By paying homage to Ladislav Sutnar, the students not only honored a luminary of design but also forged a connection between the past, present, and future of artistic expression in Pilsen.
